20th Annual Scholarship Breakfast Postponed
Dear Friends and Supporters of ACE DC,
As with so many organizations across the country, ACE DC has been working diligently to respond to the impacts of the Covid-19 virus on our organization. As a Board we have had many discussions to determine the best next steps, and we wanted to provide you with an update.
Most importantly, we are excited to announce that we still plan to award scholarships to our many Seniors graduating this spring and to our College Alumni. We are also still engaging with our students to continue the ACE experience while students are at home. Since we are still awarding scholarships and mentoring our students, we need our sponsors more than ever today!
While ACE DC is eager to host our 20th Annual Scholarship Awards Breakfast to celebrate this year’s scholarship winners and the successes of the ACE DC program, we have been forced to POSTPONE our May 15, 2020 event due to restrictions on large gatherings in Washington D.C. We have reserved an alternative date in the fall for our celebration at the Mayflower, and will update you on that date as soon as we can confirm it is a viable option. Please support our 20th Annual Scholarship Awards Breakfast NOW and secure your table at the event in the fall!
These are certainly challenging times for all of us, and while we look forward to celebrating again this fall, ACE DC is committed to supporting our students and mentors in the months ahead. We are still accepting and evaluating scholarship applications this spring, and are working on new and creative ways to engage with our students while they are home (check our website for updates!). However, we cannot stress enough that in order to keep moving forward now, we need your financial support before the fall. We encourage you to sponsor our Breakfast event to help ensure we can award the most scholarships as possible this spring, continue to engage our students in the months again, and are well prepared to re-launch our program in the fall!
