In order to volunteer in area schools, you may have to complete additional training and/or submit to another background check.
ACE does not oversee this process - the school and/or teacher can assist with any questions you may have and will determine compliance. To help you find the requirements, we've compiled the information below. Please also double check with your ACE teacher for updates and assistance!

To Complete the Online Application and get information about the Fingerprinting process, please visit the DCPS VOLUNTEER PAGE HERE.
You will also need to complete the mandated reporter training. You will register, login and complete the 1.5 hour online training. You can access the site HERE. At the completion of the training, you will receive a certificate. Please save it and see next below for where to upload it.
Once you complete your fingerprint test, you will receive a letter from DCPS with your eligibility. Please upload this letter, and the Mandated Reporter Certificate HERE.
Your background check is good for 2 years!
