Mortenson Externship

Mortenson is offering paid, rotational, summer externships for ACE students. Join Mortenson’s team and experience what a career in construction looks like for you!

  • Must be an ACTIVE ACE Student

  • Eight-week summer externship starting mid-June for students 16 and older with a minimum GPA of 3.0

  • 30-40 Hours a week

  • Rotational experience in both field and office environments

  • Eligible for a $2,000 scholarship, every year, for up to 4 years

DPR Externship

Interns will work with DPR project teams in jobsite trailers building major commercial construction projects for some of the most progressive and admired companies in the world. As an intern, you will have the opportunity learn about:

​

  • what it takes to build a multi-million-dollar project in a variety of industries from healthcare to commercial

  • the innovative technology used for planning, scheduling and modeling facilities

  • the wide range of professional roles needed to build great buildings and a great place to work

  • ​

ACE Summer

Mentor Experience at

Turner Construction

  • Externship Location: 11413 Isaac Newton Sq S, Reston, VA 20190

  • Time frame student is expected to participate: 3 week externship in July 2023 

  • Hours each day: at least 5 hours/day

  • Stipend amount: will be provided

  • Application process or materials that will be requested: Resumes

ACE Summer

Mentor Experience at

Gilbane Construction 

  • Externship Location – The primary location will be 1100 North Glebe Road, Suite 1000, Arlington, VA 22201, with some travel to jobsites occasionally. The students are responsible for their own transportation

  • Time frame student is expected to participate – These 2 week durations are open for us, but we will strive to have all chosen candidates in the same two week period – June 12-June 23, July 17-July 28, or August 14-August 25

  • Hours each day – 8 hours per day

  • Stipend amount – $20/hr
